PIXI GLOW TONIC - WORTH THE HYPE?

I've been tempted to try out the ever so popular Pixi Glow Tonic since Victoria's Secret's Jourdan Dunn listed the 23.50 toner as one of her staple skincare products for her morning and night time routine on Instagram. The British model spilled her skincare secrets on the post and made sure to clarify that both posts were not sponsored. Several other skincare experts have also reviewed the glow tonic on their blogs (including the skincare expert Caroline Hirons), so I decided to buy the toner when I stumbled upon it at Marks & Spencer

This exfoliating toner contains potent ingredients such as aloe vera, ginseng, and botanical extracts to sooth and treat the skin, while 5% glycolic acid helps to renew the skin, improve skin tone and texture. It is also alcohol free and very gentle on the skin. I have not experienced burning or any other reaction whatsoever and did I mention it smells wonderful?! Pixi recommends to wear the Glow Tonic both in the morning and at night, but I avoid wearing anything with acids during the day as it makes our skin more sensitive to sunlight. Although I do wear SPF most days, I prefer not to take any risks. I wear this toner before bed by applying it with a cotton pad after cleansing my skin thoroughly and then follow with a Vitamin E oil or Shea Butter for a healthy glow when I wake up.

Is it a miracle worker? No, since it took me about a week to start to see any results. However, once it started working, my skin felt softer, looked more glowy and although it doesn't stop spots from appearing, it seems to help them fade away quickly. So to answer my initial question, 'is it worth the hype?' - Yes. As you can see from the almost empty bottle in the picture above, I've been using the toner a lot and I will repurchase it in the future.

Have you tried anything from the Pixi range?
