If you follow me on social media, you might have known that I was in
Abuja recently for my brother's beautiful wedding. My home in Abuja was
spectacular! I spent five nights at the stunning Pearl Manor Luxury Suites Hotel, which is located in Sun City Estate, Galadimawa District in Abuja.
I had a wonderful time, finally got to meet and catch up with some amazing friends and family, including Busayo (his photography website can be found here or on www.linguini.com.ng) - who took my photographs for this blogpost. We arrived at the hotel mid-afternoon and received a friendly welcome from the reception team. We received our keycards and swiftly made our way to our rooms. The hallway was well lit and beautifully decorated with African paintings and sculptures.

THE ROOM
The
pearl manor suites include a dining area with a kettle, a bedside table
next to a very comfortable bed and a spacious wardrobe which made it easier for me to arrange my outfits for the entire week. The bathroom was floor to
ceiling tiles with a large walk in shower and a seperate toilet. The
lighting over the sink, might I add, is exceptional for applying your
makeup. I cannot express how important good lighting is for the
failure/success of a hotel stay. Breakfast was also included - this mainly consisted of some tea, milk, sugar, slices of bread and omelette.
Although
the room was lovely and spacious, the wifi connection in my room was
non-existent (however, this is not the case for every room),
which meant I had to take my phone and laptop to my brother or friend's
room for better connection. But hey, the less connected, the more of a
holiday right?

THE POOL
Needless to say, the pool area in the backyard was my favourite area. Every morning and most nights, I pulled on my robe, slid my weary feet into my flip flops and waddled off to the swimming pool which was situated in the backyard. I spent, what felt like hours, relaxing by the pool with friends and family, reflecting on our day and making plans for the next. It felt great to relax by the pool in the hot weather.
An extra special nod of appreciation must be given to the staff at Pearl Manor - so often overlooked, yet imperative to the success of any visit. Every staff member who visited my room during my stay, from the lady who took me to my room, to the man who talked me through the different meals available when I was hungry in the middle of the night and the receptionists, were friendly, warm and unimposing.
RATING: 8/10
My stay at Pearl Manor Luxury Suites Hotel was an absolute delight. The
whole experience really helped me to remember how unique and
electrifying Abuja can be and I enjoyed feeling like a tourist in Abuja for the week. If you’re looking for a luxury hotel in Abuja with an incredible
location, elegant surroundings and wonderful staff, Pearl Manor Luxury Suites Hotel is the one.
