With only a few more weeks left before my trip to Nigeria, I figured why not share some of my pictures from last year’s amazing trip with you. So here it goes..

I had been hearing a lot of negative things about Nigeria on the news. For example the girls that had been kidnapped in the North (#BringBackOurGirls), the ebola crisis and that it was very dangerous to travel over. So as you can imagine, I wasn’t too excited but at the same time, I was really looking forward to seeing my family and friends.
Ibadan is quite modern. The people are very friendly, respectful, and almost every Nigerian tribe is ably represented in the city. We arrived at Murtala Muhammed Airport Lagos after our flight with Emirates. You can mostly count on air conditioning, a nice bed, warm water , electricity and good WiFi in most of the hotels and houses, I stayed at Kakanfo Inn for a night, when I arrived at Ibadan and the service was exceptional. I did some shopping and watched a Nollywood movie in the cinema in Cocoa House (the first skyscraper in Africa). I also loved the Zoological Garden in the University of Ibadan (the first University in Nigeria). So I took many pictures..
This is only a brief account of my time in Ibadan last year, I will write more about it in my post after my next trip. I will also be wearing the traditional Iro and Buba. To get a good idea of what the Iro and Buba looks like, you can visit Fashion Police Nigeria
Until next time,
Sola
Would love to read about your experience this year. Especially what has changed in the last 365 days
